thanks for the quick response!

Your suggestion for the first question doesn't work. When I select the Shared Calendar, the "open in new window" goes away. It's there when I open a calendar under the "My calendars" group

On the 2nd issue...is there a way to add these shared resources to my index in Outlook to make them "searchable"?
