Default New Computer

I have a new computer and want to move all my info from Outlook to my new computer. Both computers running Outlook 2003 and Windows XP.

I would like to move email addresses and contacts. I also synchronize my blackberry with Outlook and didn't know if I could use this to move info or if there is a better way.

Thanks,

Ray

Hi Rayddd,

First thing to do is to create pst files this will save you're mails and save them to a USB drive.
Second locate you're outlook folders:

C:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\app data\microsoft\outlook

C:\documents and settings\%username%\app data\microsoft\outlook
save both these folders to a usb drive.

On the new comp move the saved folders to the same locations as on the old comp if you have opened outlook on the new comp then you will be overwriting the new outlook folders with the old ones....this IS what you want.
Then import the pst file/s to the new comp/outlook
Restart outlook and everything will be there.

Good luck.
