Hi,
My Mother and I are both on orange, but have separate computers. The only issue with this comes with email. My login is xxxxx.orangehome.co.uk, and email is myname@xxxxxx.orangehome.co.uk. When she signed up for an email account, she was given hername@xxxxx.orangehome.co.uk. The issue is that the mail account download everything from xxxxx.orangehome.co.uk, rather than just the emails for the specific email address. So if she logs on, she downloads mine as well as her own. In Outlook Express, which I use, there is a rule which states that 'if address in 'to' is xxxxx then do not download messages'. Which works great, it only downloads mine, and leaves hers on the server for when she logs in. However, she uses Outlook, which doesn't have this rule, as far as I can see. Can anyone help with this? |

Are you both using the same profile in outlook?
This could easy be fixed by haven a diff profile for you and your mom in outlook. To do this you have to go to the control panel. But if both e-mail accounts are setup in the same profile, in outlook. it will download e-mail for both of them. |

We are using separate computers. I am using Outlook Express on mine, which has the option to leave her mail on the server, however Outlook downloads my mail as well as hers.

Ok in outlook click on tools- then click on accounts- then view accounts and you will see your account and your moms. highlight your account and on the right hand side click remove.
Outlook can only download e-mails for accounts that are setup in it. So if outlook is downloading your e-mail. Your account is setup in it. So you will have to remove the account from outlook and then only your moms account will be there so outlook will only get her e-mail |
