Hello,
I have a problem with lost emails from Outlook 2007 and it would be of extreme importance for me to recover them, if at all possible. Ill try to explain what happened in detail and will be very grateful for any assistance. In Outlook 2007 I have "Personal folders" and "Archive folders". I had a number of emails (quite a few, maybe ~1000) in the "Deleted Items" folder. I selected all of them and DRAG n DROPED em into a Folder name Archive 2010 in Archive folders part. I was asked to confirm, a msg saying something along the lines that it might take some time to do so. Confirmed. The process took a while (few minutes) at the end of which the following happened: - all emails were removed from Delted Items - NO emails apeared in the destination folder - a "new email" apeared with a number of attchements - email msgs attached I tried to send the email to myself, but upon sending it stoped responding and that email was lost. Now the reason why I believe the lost emails *are* somewhere, is because my Outlook data file (.pst) titled "outlook" has ~512 mb , while all my (not lost) emails ammount to ~100 mb. However, I cannot find them in any folders within outlook. Please, if anyone has any ideas, help me with this problem. Much obliged for all answers and help Fran |

You managed to get 1 of the many Microsoft mysterys.
Normally, I'd say it somehow just emptied the deleted items, but you claim otherwise. Could you please check your emtied messages in Extra> Recover deleted message's? This is just to make sure that this isn't the case. It has to done fast though, because they don't save there for a long time. |

I can't seem to find the option or the "extra" tab.
In the tools tab there is only an option to "Empty Deleted Items" , Help suggests the option should be there besides it but it is not, however it seems a certain MS Exhchange is need for it which I belive is not installed/used. I tried using a "Outlook recovery toolbox" to open the .pst file; however it only found the same msgs as outlook did. Maybe some other software? Much thanks for the reply so far, Fran |

Any ideas?
