Default My Outlook is no longer opening on my Laptop

For the past 24 hrs or so my Outlook refuses to open and display my emails. It does open on my phone.
I have a ThinkPad E16 Gen 2 running WIN 11 (with all updates)
I tried Outlook /safe and still no startup.
Any hints would be helpful.

I will assume that you are using the latest Classic Outlook from MS 365. If this is not the case, please see below.

1 -- Are there any error messages when you start Outlook?

2 -- Does the Outlook main window appear at all before Outlook crashes?

3 - Use this article to see if there are any Outlook crash events in the Windows Event Viewer.

Why did Outlook crash? - Robert 365

What version of Outlook do you have?

Please see this Microsoft Support article and reply with what platform (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) and version of Outlook you are using.

Or if you access Outlook On the Web (https://outlook.com/) via a browser, what platform (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) and browser (Chrome, Edge. Safari, Firefox) you are using.

Hornblower409 -
Thank you for your response.
There was no warning, no crash, no nothing. It just stopped running. I click on the icon and nothing.

Today I deleted Outlook and re-downloaded the MS program package. I chose the classic Outlook in place of the Outlook (new). I have no idea what version numbers either are, but with the classic Outlook (which I was happily using before this new laptop quite a few months ago) I now have no problems.

It was strange, one day no problems, then the next day it was like there was no program attached to the icon. Weird.

Anyway, thank you.

Allen

Configure Office to always use Classic Outlook

Use Classic Outlook, not New Outlook | Slipstick Systems
