Thank you for your response.
There was no warning, no crash, no nothing. It just stopped running. I click on the icon and nothing.
Today I deleted Outlook and re-downloaded the MS program package. I chose the classic Outlook in place of the Outlook (new). I have no idea what version numbers either are, but with the classic Outlook (which I was happily using before this new laptop quite a few months ago) I now have no problems.
It was strange, one day no problems, then the next day it was like there was no program attached to the icon. Weird.
