Default OLK 365 Classic Delayed Send Stopped Working

For a long time I have used a dummy message in my Outbox set to not send before a date months in advance to avoid accidentally exiting OLK by clicking the X instead of - to minimize. When I clicked X to exit, a message popped up to confirm that I wanted to exit. That has quit working. It now immediately exits with no prompt.

Can someone please explain what has happened and how I can regain my lost functionality?

Cheers!
Retired ChE

Google AI seems to confirm that the trick you were using doesn't work any more. But the details are a bit fuzzy and might be wonky.

In classic Outlook for desktop, the "unsent message confirmation" that appeared on exit was a byproduct of the "delay delivery" feature, not a setting for Undo Send. Recent updates have changed this behavior, so the confirmation may no longer appear even if you have delayed messages.
I assume you were using one of these techniques?

The only other option I can find is an Add -In.

Unhappy

Thanks for the update. I was using the message to myself method. It was working just a few days ago. I'm going to try to create a BeforeClose macro to accomplish the same, but OLK VBA is a nightmare so I may not succeed.

There is no BeforeClose event in Outlook. Only the Application.Quit event. But you can't Cancel the Application.Quit event to stop Outlook from closing.
