Completely remove Outlook up and start afresh - Super User

Note that you should start Outlook in Safe Mode the first time after the Reset so it can recreate the missing default objects.

(I can not rule out the possibility that your Dell was manufactured in Poldavia and had an ancient curse placed upon it by a disgruntled worker).

Yes, I also deleted Office from the registry, following the procedure described here. Now I've installed Office Standard and Pro, both 32-bit and 64-bit, following this procedure. The OK/Cancel buttons are still missing.
What I could live with is if I could uncheck "receive messages" for the second email in the delivery window. But I would have to confirm that with OK, and that button is missing.
It would be great if I could find this check mark in the registry and remove it there.

All the Send/Receive values are stored in the SRS file in a non-editable format.

--- Where can I downsize my Pictures?

I resize my images on my PC before uploading.

--- Then I configured Outlook with two email addresses, each with its own .pst file.
--- The Send/Receive Buttons ON/Cancel are back!

How exactly did you get the OK/Cancel buttons back? Why can't you duplicate?

--- uninstalled MS Office ... cleaned the registry and deleted all Office folders.
--- But Outlook started with all the parameters as before.

We are missing something. There is no way, that I can even imagine, where Outlook could "remember" any previous settings if all the registry and data files have been removed.

I know it's drastic, but maybe it's time to consider a Windows Reset?

Never a good idea to have multiple versions of Office on the same PC.
Never use 64 bit Office unless you need gigantic Excel sheets.

Default Solved - ON/Cancel Buttons are back again!

"Never a good idea to have multiple versions of Office on the same PC"
Not all parallel, only one at a time and only for test purposes!

More importantly, the On/Cancel buttons are back and that had nothing to do with Office.
Because the Latitude's screen is relatively small, I increased the scaling from 150% to 175% during the Windows installation, and this means that the two On and Cancel buttons in the Send/Receive window disappear - and only here.
I then increased the scaling on my main computer as well – and the buttons disappeared. There are many windows in Windows, and it's strange that something disappears only in this one Outlook window.

The main thing is that the problem has been found and resolved. I've now unchecked the "Receive Message" box on my second T-Online email and now only receive each email address once. And I've learned something new again.

Hornblower, thank you so much for your support!!!
