Move emails from one pst file to another?
I am running Office 2010 on a Windows 7 machine. I have used Outlook for many years with very few issues. I used 2010 beta with no issues. Since I went to the paid version I have had several issues. Outlook frequently will open with data verifying and take up to 3 minutes to complete the verification. I have tried running Scanpst on several occasions and each time it is saying there are errors. When I click on Repair, it goes to Not Responding status and I have to exit out. Outlook will then open properly by loading the profile and will continue to do so for several sessions and then the data verifying will start all over again. Now Outlook has started receiving but not sending any emails. Since I cannot get Scanpst to do the repairs I am faced with starting over again with a new profile.
Question is.....how do I move Some of my emails that I need to keep to the new profile without moving everything? I can happily rename the existing file to something else and keep all emails there, but there are many that need to be accessed on a regular basis. My current PST file is 6 GB and I want to pare it down as low as possible and then see if that will solve my issues. Any help and guidance will be much appreciated.
