Default How to Use Own Email Address in Outlook.com?

Something has recently broken so I can't use my own email address with Outlook.com any more, it seems.

I have a bit of webspace.

I use cPanel to forward emails sent to me@mysite.com to me@outlook.com

I have added me@mysite.com as an alias to Outlook and made it the primary. I used to be able to send emails from me@mysite.com using Outlook.com in the web browser but recently, it just says they're having trouble sending the email and it never sends.

I'm happy to delete it all and start again but I don't know what process I need to follow.

I don't need the email to be saved on my webspace, which is why I used a forwarder.

Any ideas?
