I've been using Outlook since Office 97, I forget which version but Outlooks Pst files were moved from the AppData folder to the Documents folder. I've never needed to use OneDrive but now I've got an Android tablet and I'm trying to use Office 365 on it so I can work while I'm traveling, this made is necessary to use OneDrive to sync my documents from my desktop to the OneDrive cloud. The problem that I've now got is that Outlook 2021 on my Desktop would't work as the pst files were moved from C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\Outlook Files to C:\Users\<User Name>\OneDrive\Documents\Outlook Files. I did use the Mail control panel applet to change the location to where OneDrive moved the Pst files to but Outlook still can't access the files as I keep getting these errors:
Code:
Task MyEmail@Comcast.Net Sending / receiving reported error 0x800401F Outlook data file cannot be accessed
You would think that Microsoft would make sure that OneDrive didn't move or lock the pst files while Outlook is trying to use them but what is the solution to fix this? Create a new location for the Pst files that's not in any folder synced to OneDrive and move them there and adjust the Pst file location?
