HELP Please



So i have a hotmail account. I use outlook 2007 as my email and contact source. Outlook connector synchs outlook with hotmail. I now have an iphone which i tunes synchs my contact list with my iphone from outlook. but...
i had 2 x mail contact lists in outllook. One is my hotmail contact list, one is my iphone contact list. How can i either get connector to look at a different contact list or itunes to look at a diufferent contact list. Currently my connector has just synched with hotmail and removed all my contacts because i moved all my hotmail contacts into my outlook contact list so they would synch to my phone???

I kind of had this working but a new connector version stopped my outlook collecting my hotmail because of an account duplication error. I had to delete my hotmail account from outlook and recreate it, needless to say i lost over 11 months of emails with removal of account . I system resored and moved the hotmail emails to an archive folder, then removed the hotmail account from outlook again and recreated it. now i have a new contact list associated with outlook and one with hotmail which i have merged in favour of my phone, IE dragged from the hotmail to the outlook list. Hotmail contact list online account appears to show the contacts but all my MSN messenger contacts have dissapeared.

To me it seems like i either need to start again with all applications or somone has to tell me how to change which contact list these applications synch with to create a straight line between these applications instead of 2 paralell lines.
