There are three emails, duplicates of which I am continually receiving into my inbox...about one a minute. I have more than 2500 at the moment. The emails are only coming to Outlook...not my phone.

I have deleted the email account off my hosting account, as well as Outlook. Yet, here they come.



Any idea what happened and, more importantly, how to stop it?

I had this problem. All the emails still on the server were being re downloaded almost all the time going back years! By the time it got to over 10000 I couldnt delete them faster than they appeared so outlook got choked up.

It turned out to be talktalk my ISP not being able to support outlook and pop3 for some users. Had to change to imap but it stopped.
