I have two Outlook accounts, one fairly old which is never used, and a recent one which I wish to use on a permanent basis. When I log in I am always taken to the old account from which I have to log out and then log in again.
I would like to know if it's possible to delete the old account but having followed some instructions about doing it from MS I always arrive at a point where the option stated is not available on this old account. I wonder if there is some simple way to do this without upsetting the new account. Any help greatly appreciated. |

It seems your old account is probably the default. You can't delete the default account.
Change the default account to your new account and then you should be able to close it and/or delete it.

Thanks for the reply.
I suspected that might be the case. But how, exactly, do I change the default setting? |
