Outlook continues to run after I close it

My Outlook continues to run after I close it. I have to do the ctrl-alt-delete and end the process....Any ideas why?

Please follow the instructions below to get Outlook to close.

1. Select Tools.
2. Click Options.
3. Click Other Tabs.
4. Click Advanced Options
5. Select COM add-ins and un-check add-ins to disable.
6. Close dialog.
