Default Outlook 2007 and Windows 2010 issues

I have bought a new lenovo 900, on which I would like to use my existing outlook 2007.
1st problem, when installing outlook 2007 from the CD, the box for entering the registration number is very small and the number boxes are not visible, however, the entered numbers are accepted.
2nd problem, when starting Outlook, all I get is a full white screen to which I need to use windows task manager to exit.

Q. As I believe office 2007 is deemed compatible with windows 2010, is there a simple way around this issue ?.
Thank you in anticipation.
