Ms Oulook 2007-exceeded mailbox

Help needed in the following:

I am able to send emails but am not able to receive any...due to exceeded mailbox. However, I have deleted a lot of emails from my inbox/outbox and still cannot recieve any emails..

Did you empty the trash/Deleted Items? Also delete your sent items. There is usually a lot of data there.
