![]() After a long experience using outlook 2007 I now have two problems: Email Duplicates; My hotmail POP3 account inbox has lots of duplicates. I just purchased the Sperry Duplicate Remover, and it cleared a GB of them. The next day when I booted the computer up, Outllook 2007 downloaded them again. My comcast account is not doing this.Multiple Outlook Instances Running: Outlook freezes sometimes after hitting the send email button. Task Manager shows two instances of Outlook running, but just one has an open window. Killing the first one in the list usually causes the one in an open window to unfreeze. What is causing it? |

Hi,
I keep a page on how to prevent and remove Outlook duplicates. In the first section, it explains that two copies of Outlook running definitely causes duplicates. So, I think figuring out why two copies of Outlook are running is the first priority. You might want to examine your list of Processes in Task Manger (via Ctrl-Alt-Delete) when you start Outlook to see how many copies are there. Also, try starting Outlook in safe mode to see if any misbehaving add-ins are causing the problem. Mike Sperry http://www.SperrySoftware.com Find 37 Outlook add-ins that can make a difference! |

msperry, Thanks for your reply.
I have used the Sperry Duplicate Remover followed by ScanPST, and the situation is much improved. I may still have some addins that are causing a second or third instance running in the background occasionally. I have not had any luck in finding which one may be causing a problem. Recently there have been few times that Task Manager shows more than a single instance of Outlook running. |
