Hmmm - try this. With Outlook closed, go to Control Panel, Mail and look at the data files. If it exists in there you may be able to remove it.

Thanks Tupham that sorted it the file is gone and outlook opened correctly for the first time in months. I shall post that one in the hat not that i intend it happening again anytime soon. Thanks again
