Default Rogue File Message when accessing Outlook7

When I access Outlook a message indicates "the path specified etc etc outlook\archive1.pst is not valid"

The message maybe correct as it points to a previously defined outlook data file which is not longer there.
I have tried to remove this rogue via the file menu but the option to remove is not there. I have tried to remove it via the account settings in the Data File but the invalid file message is not displayed.

Anyone any thoughts on a quick and idiot proof resolution to resolve this I am not a tecky so it needs to like solution for a dummy.

Cheers

In Outlook scroll down to the bottom of the folder list and check the last entry. It's possible that the archive file was opened in Outlook but had not been closed before being deleted. If it's there, right click on it and select the "Close ... " option.

Hey thanks Tupham, unfortunately it did not work.
The message "the file path specified for the file F:\FreeAgentFolders\Outlook\Outlook\archive1.pst is not valid"
Or "the set of folders cannot be opened the file path specified for the file F:\FreeAgentFolders\Outlook\Outlook\archive1.pst is not valid"
When I open Outlook this message is displayed in a window and also when I select the folder and when I right click and select Close "Personal Folder" from the file menu.
I have tried to remove the file using the Datafile management option "the requested operation failed".
The actual folder is now my G Drive perhaps I could rename it?
I have a WD B/Up Drive using the F:\ slot.

Hmmm - try this. With Outlook closed, go to Control Panel, Mail and look at the data files. If it exists in there you may be able to remove it.
