Default Outlook changes font on pasted word doc

I have a Word 2007 doc, using Arial 10 point. When I paste it into Outlook 2007, Outlook changes the first few lines to Calibri, then changes a few more lines to bold. Lower in the pasted document, the font returns to Arial 10. At the bottom of the email, Outlook changed the font back to Calibri.

From Outlook > Tools > Options, I have changed the Message Format from HTML to Rich text but that did not help. I also played with the HTML format option and its 3 check boxes without any success.

I opened the word doc, removed all formatting, and saved. I reopened the word doc, added in the bullets, bold, etc and saved. When I paste it into Outlook, its messed up again.

My O/S is Windows 7

Hopefully, someone has come across this in the past and has a solution.

Thank You,
