How to turn off beep sound in office applications

Hi

Thanks again. I have followed the instruction you provided and unchecked the 'sound' options [indeed those I found are already unchecked] but still the beep sound persists...why? This is such a pain and I am so sorry to keep bothering you.

I am at a loss what to do

Is this just happening with Word?

How about Excel or PowerPoint?

How about with a non-Office program?
