Today I uninstalled some of the unused programs on my laptop and when I was finished and got back to work, I was unable to open office files. When I tried to open the files, it started reinstalling the program and this error popped up saying:

Error 1402 Setup cannot open the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image file execution options\Winword.exe. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for assistance. For information about how to contact PSS, see PSS10R.CHM.

I have this same problem with PDF files that I usually open with Adobe Reader.
Please someone help me!!
