I created an Excel template document (the fact it's a template isn't really relevant, just the nature of what it was) on a work network which I emailed to myself when I left. I saved this onto a new computer, and when I tried to access, I received a prompt that the email was locked for editing by someone I used to work with.
Surely there should be no connection with that document and the person I used to work with in the past if I've emailed it to myself? Funnily enough, that person wasn't even working in the same company/ office as me, so I wouldn't have received that message at the time. Very confused! Thanks for your help! |

Sounds like the file might be corrupt - and possibly cross-linked to another file on your system with details of the other person.
