![]() A version of MS Office 2010 pre installed on my Lenovo G575 64 bit Laptop. I had to activate it myself with a key described as "one user key". I restored my computer back to factory setting to rid myself of a problem, this restored my MS Office 2010 to MS Office Starter, complete with ads. The Office 2010 setup just stops with a message box "Setup has stopped working (looking for a solution)". |

Your description suggests your restoration may have failed. You could try running the Office setup again but, if that fails, you may need to re-do your restoration.

The restoration was several months ago and everything worked perfect and my fault was cleared. I have been using an old Office 2007 but recently decided to re-activate my pre-installed 2010. I need assistance from someone who understands an activation key described as "one user key", I think I should be able to re-install on the same computer as long as it is the same user but not on a second computer. I need an Office Ace!! to help me.

A Product Key described as a "one user key" doesn't prevent you reinstalling the software on the same PC - it's not a 'use-once' key.

Thanks Paul, I did not want to persevere if I was wasting my time.
