Ok this is affecting me in Word 2003 Excel 2003 and PP 2003. And to be honest I am about to pull my hair out.

I have a PC with Windows XP SP3 Running Office 2003 SP3
If I choose in either one Insert Picture from File it hangs up for about 4-5 minutes while rendering whatever images I find. Then if I choose one it takes another 2-3 minutes before it places it in the file. I have checked for Mapped Drives that no longer exist. I connect to a small DC with Windows Server 2003 R2 and have not had any issues before this Monday. I have tried to uninstall reinstall and also format PC and start over with fresh copy of XP. All with the same end result. Wierd part is if I pull my network cable. the files load without a hitch. Any ideas?

Hi pctech, this sometimes happens when office products are set to search the internet for content such as clipart and images. Unfortunately I don't have version 2003 in front of me at the moment so I will have to direct you from memory. Try inserting a clipart and the task pane should appear on the right hand side. In the task pane there is a search option there to search of on-line content. Untick it and hopefully this should fix the problem.
