I am trying to download this server to allow a particular software to run, and I thought this was correct: http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.com/
But after I install and reboot the computer, the software still requests the SQL 2000 server. So where can I download free MS SQL Server 2000 for Microsoft XP computer? I am not very familiar with service packs either, so please point me to the right one. |

From what I can see on that page, it doesn't have any links for downloading SQL Server 2000 - only updates/patches for it.
SQL Server 2000 has long since been superceded. You can download the free SQL Server 2005 Express from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=21844. SQL Server 2005 Express is compatible with: • Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 • Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 • Windows XP Service Pack 2
