Download and use disk key?

My wife uses a netbook without a disk drive, but i have a disk with an unused product key. Is it possible to download office from the website and use the product key from the disk to activate it?

No, because the Product Key coding is written to expect your CD

I would copy the CD to a flash drive, then do the install from the flash drive
