Hi to everyone!
I am doing a rota for school and have down a form which has Day Student Name | House |Male/Female Monday Tues Wed Thurs Fri the data is from excel A B C D E F Surname Forename Gender House Year Reg Jones Alexia F Austen Year 7 ABAK AND is repeated in Columns H to M but for Males I need to have a Female on a monday, then a Male on a tues etc throughout the school term approx 6 weeks I have tried next record if but does not work, any pointers would be greatly appreciated cheers / Paul |

Hi Paul,
I gather the male/female student records are in parallel columns on the same rows. In that case, you will need to differentiate the field names. You can then use a Catalogue/Directory mailmerge. The attached document has a set of mergefields & calculation fields for the merge. Data field names of «Surname1», «Forename1» and «House1» are assumed for the females and «Surname2», «Forename2» and «House2» for the males. As coded, the male/female order swaps daily - if there are three females one week, there'll be three males the next week. That isn't quite what you asked for (three females each week) but it does achieve gender equity ...
