![]() Hi I need to count the number of records generated in the TableStart and TableEnd in a Report in the last line of the document like "ITEMS: 28". I managed it by using MERGEREC but it assigns the number of the record to each and every record between TableStart and Table End. |

Since you're using a third-party addin for your merge, you're limited to whatever tools it provides.

We upload the .doc to the Apiquery, it counts as a 3rd party software? The only thing we do is disply the data from the SQL using The table end mergefield. I thought there was a way to count using bookmarks and refs, but I gues i will make SQLs for subreports just for counting the number of records. Hope it doesn't increase the cost of the report too much. Thanks for the reply

TableStart and TableEnd fields are not part of a standard Office installation - they are provided by third-party addins such as Salesforce/Conga, Aspose, and RSA Archer.
A workaround would be to use a macro triggered by the mailmerge to count the number of rows in each table, then output those values in the appropriate locations.
