how to add page number in mail merge document

hi,
I have a footer in a mail merge document.
when trying to add the page number it is removing the footer contents which is

Report_«name1»_«name2»_«Date_on_Report»

How can i add the page # of # in the document??

You could insert the 'page x of y' footer, then add your:
Report_«name1»_«name2»_«Date_on_Report»
content.
