I am using a directory mail merge document using data from an external Excel database.
I have a field that is creating problems and I have no idea how to resolve them. Nothing looks out of the ordinary in the mail merge document. 1. I am unable to get the [page #] of [page #s] to populate. All I get is the code. ![]() The image posted is the final mailed merged document. The highlighted portion isn't properly populating. (It should populate as Page: 1 of 1) Is anyone able to help me resolve this? |

Use CTRL+F9 to insert each bracket pair {} and type PAGE and NUMPAGES between the brackets thus: { PAGE } of { NUMPAGES }

Hi Graham,
Thank you for the reply ... I did forget to mention a couple things, my bad, which may change your answer. This problem mailmerge field is within the footer of the document. This same mailmerge document works flawlessly on my work computer, but fails in only this field at my home computer. When I made the report originally, I believe I did use the CTRL-F9 means of putting in the fields. If I recall, you are the kind person who helped me with the original mail merge document. :-) |

If you are seeing the code as I typed it i.e. { PAGE } of { NUMPAGES }, press ALT+F9 to toggle the display.
