Default mail merge with attachment -- office 2013

aside from expensive third-party software, is there a tried and true way to do an email mail merge with an attachment?

I am not experienced in VBA or creating macros. But I am willing to learn if it isn't over an amateur's head.

http://www.gmayor.com/ManyToOne.htm in one to one mode will emulate a normal mail merge with attachments (either the merge document itself or other attachments named in the worksheet or common to all records). The only proviso is that this is not Word Mail Merge so the data must be an Excel worksheet. The add-in is donationware so no charge for using the add-in unless you want to show your appreciation for the time you save.
