Hi Theresa,

Try the attached revised version of your workbook. The way checkboxes work, if you click one once, it changes state. Click it again and it changes state again. Consequently, if you're going to have them linked, you need macros that alter the state of the one when you click the other. I've included the macros in the workbook.
