Default Excel printing blank pages

Good morning

I have a 34-page spreadsheet I am trying to print. Print preview shows 68 pages, 34 of which are blank. I have deleted all the blank rows beneath and columns to the right but it still shows 34 blanks. When I press CTRL + END the cursor does go to the correct cell, the last one on my spreadsheet. How do I correct this, please?

Thank you.

It looks like you have those 34 pages either vertically or horizontally, and for some reason the printing range has either additional column or row included. There may be several reasons for this:
a) You have additional column/row immediately at right/below of your table formatted with some format;
b) You have set a border for column/row immediately at right/below of your table;
c) You have a space entered into some cell immediately at right/below of your table;
d) In case you pages are placed horizontally and you use a footer, the height of footer is too much, and it doesn't fit into page;
e) ... (I'm sure there will be more!)

To check, you can use print preview. after you used it, the page breaks are displayed in Excel sheet as dashed lines.

To remove formatting of space issues, select a block of rows/columns adjacent to your datarange on sheet, and delete selection(s). When you use footer, you can try to make it's height lesser.

Hi to all.

e) Maybe you have set a PrintArea bigger than needed.

Thank you both, but nothing worked. It is part of a larger file that I save under another name, amend and print. In the end I deleted it, tried again and the extra pages had disappeared. Bizarre!
