as yuo`v seen...i have two tables side by side ,company name and its symbol. I need a formula that will lookup for columns A or B in the list of column F or G. And getting the result in column H ...
The problem is that there is not always accurate match between columns, for example in column A symbol might be described AABA. and in column G registered AABA.O .. Also the company's full name is sometimes registered differently, for example column A the company's full name described -Agilent Technologies, but in column G - AGILENT TECH. If you have a solution for that i would be very happy.. |

Apart from the not exact match is this what you want
If it is please describe exactly how the names can differ. |
