According to your initial post:
We create somewhere around a thousand copies of this file a month, since each client gets a customized version, so it's a fairly substantial disk space hog. In that situation it is incomprehensible to me why you can't have access to the macro as you obviously are the one trying to repair the file. You can't share your (anonymized) file, you don't have access to the macros - I give up on this. |

Stupid corporate policies. I'm not an "official" techie, and the guys who do macros are super-protective of their turf, so I have to go to them to change anything. Same reason I don't want to give out the actual file - I don't know if it's explicitly against any rules, but given all the other rules we work under it'd at the very least be treated as remarkable stupidity by my boss if he ever found out.
You've been helpful, despite all that, and I seem to have found a tolerable workaround. Thank you. |
