Seeing no columns on the Master List labeled Location, Drawing No., Description or Originator/Service,
is it reasonable to think the absence or change to any of these on sheets CV or AR is of no concern as they are not needing to be written to the Master List ?

it has drawing no, description in the master list except location, originator and days held. Actually that's the exact number of columns in my original file. AR and CV has the same exact number of columns also.

Its working but i notice some problems if i insert a new row the data in the master list will show in column X row 9 i try to adjust the numbers in the code but nothing happens.

The column X row 9 part made me realize I hadn't changed the search range from the Master List layout you originally posted.
If this doesn't fix things, abandon this and go with your stated preference of using formulas.

sorry for the late response.. its working but when copy down or copy/paste the worksheet change event is not triggered.

I try to add Application.EnableEvents = False and Application.EnableEvents = True but still nothing happen
