are you just wanting to return a value from sheet 1 without looking through it? perhaps try using a VLOOKUP for example
=VLOOKUP(A6,Sheet1!A1 10,4,0) |

I delete the data on sheet1 and then add the data with different numbers again. After pasting new data it just show #REF on the formula sheet.
