Default Add up all Digits Within a Cell with a Line Break

Greetings! How do you SUM all numbers within a cell with line breaks?

Or: is it possible to highlight the cells and show "Sum:" down bottom?

Column has some cells with no number, some with one number, some with one number on top (line break) and one on bottom.

Thank you very much, xor. I see yours has macros. Ideally, I'll use a regular formula (and I was able to just have a gentleman help me create one). Nonetheless, helpful people like you make these computer headaches a breeze!

I understand you already have a regular formula solution, but for others it might be useful to know one possible regular formula:

=SUM(IFERROR(--(0&MID(D4,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(D4))),1)),0))

This is an array formula which must be committed by holding down Ctrl and Shift before pressing Enter.

Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

Apologies for the cross post etiquette. Appreciate all the help! I have a solution that now works.

Can't see how to edit first post anymore. Other links:
