I have a huge Excel 2007 file where my office tracks utility data for all accounts at a medium-sized university. In the past I was able to use the "Find" function to search for an account number and have it automatically navigate to that part of the spreadsheet.
I tried opening the document on a different computer, in Excel 2010, so that a work study can assist with data entry. Now when I use the "Find" function, it gives a little list of results at the bottom of the Find window, showing the cell locations. Though the results look like they contain clickable links, they are not. The only way we could figure out for it to work was to see the cell position in the results list (e.g. A3452) and have him scroll to find the appropriate cell. This is extremely inefficient! Can anyone help? |

I assume you are doing a Find All. When I use this function and click one of the results, it makes that cell active.
Another way to try maybe is to apply a filter and then filter for the account you want. |
