Office Compatibility Pack - will not open xlsx
I had the same problem. Several years ago, I installed the FileFormatConverters. I had to re-install Office 2003 and it would not open docx files. I found the "Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office" system and uninstalled it. Then installed the newer one. It worked. Peter

File converter failed
Make sure you update your Microsoft Core XML Services
go to http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...ang=en&id=3988 and install latest updates and try again. some times the file converter will fail if you try to open an email attachment. Save the file locally then open it by going to File / open then navigate to the file.
