I completely agree with PF. There are online check registers that you can use. They are free and on the cloud so you can do your work from any computer or even your tablet. Even more so since you are new to Excel. This is like reinventing the wheel when you haven't even learned how to chop wood yet. Here's one... https://www.clearcheckbook.com/
