![]() I have an access spread sheet and I want to check an excel spread sheet to compare data ie and job references. The job ref there will be 4 different columns in the access database, and a I get a list of jobs via a spread sheet, which might have one of the 4 or all of the 4 job ref's how would i get the database to check the spreadsheet data for duplicate data and print a list of the duplicated. The access data base could have a temperory table for importing of the spreadsheet then a button to check for duplicate and populate a query and then print the quiery out. |

can you show what you already have and where it went wrong?

Is it the Excel spreadsheet you want to check for duplicates or the Access table?
Excel has a built-in function on the Data tab called Remove Duplicates and you just select which columns you want to check for duplicates, e.g. Job Ref, and it will do it for you. |
