Default Column hyperlinks text even though there's no link

Hi everyone,

I hope someone knows the answer to this question, as this has happened to me in 2-3 excel files in the past.

In insert an URL in the first column & this carries over to the 2nd column when I start to type in it, but if you right click, you can't clear the URL b/c there isn't one in there.

I've even tried to delete it, recreate it AND create a new column to the right of that one but it also does that. The column to the right of the bad one doesn't do that.

I'm at a loss on what to do.

Thank you

Michelle
