How to draw a cross mark on a vertical line?

In MS Word 2010, I successfully draw two circles with a line in between them

But I failed to draw a cross mark at middle on this vertical line:

That "X" symbol should move whenever I try to move this whole diagram.

Draw a text box with no line and no fill and add an 'X' character of suitable size. Then group the elements.

I need to put line in between the two circles.

Why can't you draw it and upload that docx file here?

I don't know why you need a document when I have told you what to do but see attached.
