Default Using "draw"tab crashes word- safe mode fixes temporarily?

Hi,

I've got a brand-new Samsung Pro 9, 13 inch laptop that uses Microsoft Ink. The inking feature works fine in applications like one note 2016. When I tried to use the pen in both Word 2016 and PowerPoint 2016, the programs crash as soon as the "draw" tab is touched. If I open either program in safe mode, then close safe mode, Word, or PowerPoint will open normally with the inking feature working with no problem. It remains working after rebooting the computer and will continue to work for 24-36 hours. Then the problem starts again.

I'm at a loss to figure out what's going on.

I'd be appreciative of any suggestions.

Thanks!
