Where can I find the file for AutoCorrect in Office 2010. From my searches in this forum and the web it is saved in an *ACL file and is dependant on the language you are using (is AutoFormat in the same place? or is that in Building Blocks?) Does it only save in normal or can it all be stored in a template?
Years ago you could (with the help of a macro on the MVP site) export then import the file. I'm not sure whether it is suitable for 2007/10 (autocorrect.zip) or not. Can someone please confirm or at least point me in the right direction. I'm assuming this is a global file and is deep in the recesses somewhere. Thanks in advance. Seems the AutoCorrect entries are in normal.dotx
Did a search and came up with this. As it was suggested by Suzanne S. Barnhill I know that it is safe. Have now safely backed up my AutoCorrect entries just in case of a Normal gets corrupted and have to start again. Then use the AutoCorrect.dotm template (in Autocorrect2007.zip) from http://jay-freedman.info to load that document into Word 2007 -- Suzanne S.
