Inability to print text less than 1.5cm from the bottom of the page
Hi
This is my first post. I have searched for an answer to an identical/similar question but not found anything – however, apologies if this is something that has been addressed elsewhere. I have posted this in the Word forum, but also accept that it may be a printer issue. I have an HP dv6 notebook and K4580 Officejet, running Windows 7 32-bit and Word 2007. My problem is that I cannot find any way to print text on the bottom 1.5cm of the page. Although the ‘Page Layout’ function will allow me to set a footer of less than 1.5cm from the bottom, nothing will print below this point. This is a real hassle for me, as I often need to flexibility of an extended margin to fit specific text on to a single page. I have uninstalled and re-installed my printer several times, and asked for advice from a couple of local experts, but they could not come up with an answer. Does anyone have any advice on how I can enable printing in the bottom 1.5cm of the page? Thanks and regards, Horatio |

This is likely to be a limitation of your printer or of the driver software. Note that most printers do have a nonprinting area at all edges of the paper.
