Sorry to hear about the spacing issues.

I'm not sure if this will solve the problem, but you can try setting the "Text indent at" position to "0" in the "Define New Multilevel List" dialog box.

If that still doesn't work, double-check that the left and right indentation you have set for "Chapter One" and "Introduction" are both set to zero on the ruler. Sometimes, there's a first line indentation hanging there somewhere.

Please let me know if this doesn't work, so we can try something else.
